Emily and Eyad
Emily
grew up around Kansas City, Missouri.
She is quite versatile. She was
a fast-pitch softball pitcher before high school (Dad
will tell you how great she was). Among
other instruments, she plays the French Horn (just like Daddy) and led the Mellophone section in both
her high school and college marching bands.
She’s almost as good as her mom in the
kitchen or with a sewing machine. And
she enjoys laundry (she’s sitting in a laundry basket in the picture).
She went to Mizzou for undergrad and Central
Methodist College for her nursing degree.
The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at St. Louis Children’s
Hospital was her next stop. Eyad is
thrilled she made that choice! She is
maintaining her nursing license.
However, at present, she’s loving just being an incredible Mommy.
Eyad grew up around Cleveland, Ohio. He’s good at a lot of things but not great
at anything. He is a biomedical
engineer (according to Case Western Reserve University). He can usually fix any cell phone or
computer problem you might have… just make sure he returns it with step by step
instructions on how to use it because he likes to completely re-program
things. Eyad is also a Medical Doctor
(according to the quacks at Washington University in St. Louis), and a
Pediatric Gastroenterologist (St. Louis Children’s Hospital). Iowa City has been good to him and he enjoys
taking care of families here immensely.
